Artem (Tim) Shmelev and Steven Cunningham just presented their abstract, Predictors of same-admission cholecystectomy in mild, acute, biliary pancreatitis, at the Americas Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary Association (AHPBA) meeting in Miami, FL which was held from March 20-24, 2019. This abstract was also accepted and presented at the 53rd Annual Pancreas Club meeting in San Diego in April 2019. By invitation, it is also being submitted to the American College of Surgeons Emerging News Community, and online platform for scholarly work.

Surgical fellow Ghaith Khair, Anne Sill and Andrew Averbach (Department of Surgery) had their abstract Intraoperative leak test (ILT) is not associated with improvement in 30-day outcomes after primary laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy (LSG): MBSAQIP PUF, 2015-2016 accepted and presented as an e-poster for the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons (SAGES) meeting, which was held in Baltimore in April 2019. The accompanying manuscript is in preparation.
