Document Submission Process

The St. John Hospital and Medical Center’s IRB Office utilizes the IRBNet suite of tools for the electronic protocol management and on-line submission features for the St. John Hospital and Medical Center research community. IRBNet is a secure web-based system which you can access from any computer where you have internet access.

All documentation is handled electronically through IRBNet. All of the IRB submission forms are be available for your use via IRBNet in the Forms and Templates section once you’ve logged in to our site.

All protocol submissions (including initial applications, revisions, renewals, adverse events, closures, etc.) must be signed by the principal investigator and submitted electronically via IRBNet. All IRB determination letters will be issued electronically via IRBNet.

For those who have not yet registered on IRBNet or need tips on using the system, the following “Energizers” provide step-by-step teaching guides to using their system. You may download any of these Energizers for future reference.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact the IRB Office at 313-343-3863.
